Anyfolk returned to Hardywood for our 5th show and about a hundred of you showed up on a beautiful spring Wednesday evening to gather and listen together.
I’ve shared before that Anyfolk came to be out of my own need to do something good at a time when the country we live in and the world at large is dark and messy. I’ve so appreciated hearing from some of you that the shows are resonating and filling a shared need. On Wednesday, Chris Leggett played an acoustic version of the title track of his new record “To The Table, Let’s Be Fed” and there was a particular lyric that really stood out to me because it kind of sums up this feeling. He sings: Don’t just stand there when you can dance or sing or something.
